Tree removal and a frosty New Year’s Eve at camp — check out the Facebook album here.
A very old Big Leaf Maple near the creek fell in early November and managed to land smack in the middle of our septic field. This week professional tree removal crews spent two days cleaning it up.
Volunteers also cleared away a few other trees that had fallen in the rains and winds of late 2015. A large Alder had blocked one of the trails to Outdoor Chapel, and another maple had come down near Lower Campfire. Most of the wood has been split into fire-building size, but there are still a lot of big logs piled near the Yurt.
