Central Oregon and the Willamette Valley offer a wide variety of opportunities for outdoor adventure. Our staff and campers make the most of the mountains, rivers, hills, and lakes in this recreational wonderland.

1: Smith Rock
Sport climbing was born at this central Oregon state park, and the daring continue to scale its many routes every summer.

2: McKenzie River
The wild rapids and twisting bends of this mighty river attract kayakers and whitewater rafters from across the region.

3: Coastal Foothills
The eastern edge of Oregon’s Coast Range features old growth forests, stands of cedar and Douglas Fir, and evidence of ongoing timber industry.

4: Deschutes River
This mighty waterway winds through central Oregon and offers a world-class paddling experience that’s ideal for overnight excursions.

5: Fern Ridge Resevoir
Just 12 miles from Eugene, Ore., this lake on the Long Tom Watershed offers a variety of recreational options for locals and visitors.

6: Triangle Lake
Nestled in the lush forests of the Coastal Foothills, this creek-fed lake is named for its shape and provides day-use access for paddling and swimming.

7: Spencer’s Butte
High-flying adventure meets team-building at this Eugene high ropes course that presents a variety of group challenges for people of all ages and skill levels.
