Summer is not complete without an adventure in the outdoors! This Outdoor Adventure program will take campers to nearby lakes on canoes, the tops of trees on the City of Eugene’s high ropes course and rafting down the Mckenzie river rapids guided by Peak7 Adventures. Discover how faith and adventure transform our understanding of God, ourselves, and our community with this can’t-miss camp! In order to enjoy this camp fully, all campers who plan on attending must be able to swim.
Expand your creativity this summer at this on-site camp for middle school and high school campers. Creative Arts campers spend their week of camp exploring their own gifts of creativity and experience a variety of art forms led by Lutherwood staff and guest leaders. While this program’s main focus is all about getting creative, campers will also have opportunities to participate in classic camp activities like all camp games, swimming, faith discussions and campfire.
Adolescent girls have a unique set of gifts and pressures in our culture. As they stand between childhood and adulthood, they are becoming aware of the choices they have to build their lives. Girls Camp is for girls ages 10-14 to come together and share, learn and grow with age appropriate education and activities geared toward self-awareness of their bodies and minds, and healthy inter-connection with others. In addition to all that makes summer camp fun, campers will engage daily in movement, nutrition education and crafting activities which deepen their connection to nature and each other. Each day will also contain guided discussion with peers to highlight social messaging about body image, contemporary music and sexuality. Throughout the experience, it is our hope that each camper has an opportunity to share her gifts with the group and achieve a greater understanding of the type of life and woman she wants to be.
We know camp is fun during the day, but what is it like when the stars are out? Come experience how camp changes at night with this week for seventh through ninth graders. Campers will stay up late each night for fun activities like night games and star gazing with high powered telescopes, and we’ll even open up the archery range and rock wall for some more night time fun! The fun doesn’t end when the sun comes out- sleep in each morning and join the rest of camp in games, crafts, worship, and faith discussions throughout the day.
Confirmation camp offers confirmands and their adult leaders unique opportunities to grow in their relationships with God and the world around them. During this week of camp Confirmation classes and their leaders will have time for play, bible study, team building, worship, and outdoor adventure. All Confirmation campers need to be connected with a Confirmation group and leader at the time of registration.
*Confirmation groups of all shapes and sizes are welcome to attend. If you are a Confirmation leader who is interested in having your group join another please contact our Program Director at firstname.lastname@example.org. All confirmation group leaders are asked to register online.
