Adolescent girls have a unique set of gifts and pressures in our culture. As they stand between childhood and adulthood, they are becoming aware of the choices they have to build their lives. Girls Camp is for Girls ages 10-14 to come together and share, learn and grow with age appropriate education and activities geared toward self-awareness of their bodies and minds, and healthy inter-connection with others. In addition to all that makes summer camp fun, campers will engage daily in movement, nutrition education and crafting activities which deepen their connection to nature and each other. Each day will also contain guided discussion with peers to highlight social messaging about body image, contemporary music and sexuality. Throughout the experience, it is our hope that each camper has an opportunity to share her gifts with the group and achieve a greater understanding of the type of life and woman she wants to be.
