In this season of carols, readings, and many special liturgies we offer our own song of joyful praise and preparation:

Here are a few other resources for your Christmas celebrations at home or among others.

Litany (responses in bold):
The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light.
For to us a child is born to us a Son is given.
His name will be called Wonderful counselor, mighty God,
the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.
Glory to God in the highest and peace to his people on earth.

Blessing:
May the joy of the angels,
the eagerness of the shepherds,
the perseverance of the wise men,
the obedience of Joseph and Mary,
and the peace of the Christ-child be yours this Christmas.

Prayers:
Lord Jesus Christ, your birth at Bethlehem draws us to kneel in wonder at heaven touching earth: accept our heartfelt praise as we worship you, our Saviour and our eternal God. Amen.

Lord, by the song of the angels you disclosed your birth to your own people, and by the leading of a star you revealed your glory to strangers. Teach us to know you now, and to make you known to all. Amen.
